The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics offers the following services:

Food Service

Nutritious and delicious vegetarian meals are available for our patients, guardians and staff. The patient’s medical conditions and nutritional needs are taken into account when planning and providing nutritionally balanced therapeutic meals.

Medical Nutrition Therapeutic

We provide evidence based and tailor made therapeutic plan for oral, enteral (tube feeds), and parenteral (IV feeds) nutrition for a wide spectrum of disease conditions.

Nutrition counselling and education

The nutrition status of clients and patients with diet related conditions is assessed followed by nutrition counselling and education sessions. These diet related conditions include non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, overweight and obesity. Our qualified nutritionist provides practical and evidence based nutrition advice and develops nutrition plans to meet clients and patient’s individual nutritional needs. This is accompanied by follow up sessions to ensure that clients and patients nutritional goals are achieved.
