The Radiology Department is committed to quality diagnostic services. We offer basic to advanced diagnostic modalities with high professional delivery of optimal results within the shortest waiting period in the following areas:
Basic radiology services
This service employs the use of radiation to acquire bone and soft tissue diagnostic images of a person; for example:
- Chest x-ray, including general screening for industrial workers and travel permit assessments
- Abdomen x-ray
- Spine series x-rays
- Skull series x-rays
- Extremities x-rays
Special radiological procedures
This approach uses special contrast techniques aimed at showing structures that would otherwise be omitted by basic x-ray images; for example:
- Chest x-ray, including general screening for industrial workers and travel permit assessments
- Cysto-urethrograms – imaging of the urinary bladder and urethra
- Intravenous pyelograms – imaging to assess structure and functionality of kidneys, ureters and bladder
- Hysterosalpingography – to assess structure and patency of cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes.
- Barium study series – to assess the food tract structure and patency
Mammogra
We offer imaging of the breast to assess masses, lesions and general screening and breast cancer follow-ups imaging.
Fluoroscopic imaging
This service provides live imaging of bone and soft tissue structures allowing the technician and doctors to view real-time images of area of interest in managing a particular case. Example is hip-replacement procedure and endoscopic retrograde cholecystectomy (gallbladder and biliary ducts assessments).
Ultrasound scan services
This modality utilises the properties of sound and applies it in acquisition of body images, for example:
- Gynecological scan – imaging of female reproductive system like ovaries, uterus, fallopian tubes
- Obstetrics scan – imaging of pregnancy to assess location, age, viability, weight of fetus, sex of fetus and anatomical survey.
- General abdominal scan - this includes imaging of liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, urinary bladder and peritoneum.
Echocardiography
We offer imaging and reporting of the heart upon assessment of functionality and structure of the heart, valves and associated blood vessels
Computerised Tomographic (CT) scan
We provide both specialised and general CT scanning services imaging an organ in slices to explore further details of pathology or uncover a hidden anomaly missed by general x-ray; for example:
- Brain scans both with and without contrast enhancements
- Abdominal scan series
- Spine series such as cervical, thoracic, lumbar
- General skeletal survey
